CASE REPORT - Perfect Proximal Contact for Crowns Supported by Implants

Perfect proximal contact is achieved using the ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip

ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip is an innovative, new dental device designed to use prior to final cementation to achieve proper proximal contact adjustment of direct or indirect restorations. Use of ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip restores interproximal relief* by eliminating excessive pressure between the restoration and the adjacent teeth, and complete marginal seating is achieved simply and easily.

Fig. 1) It is extremely important to instruct your dental lab to retain the natural contour and space between the adjacent teeth. The models should not be scraped. If scraping is required, it should not exceed 0.10 mm in thickness.

Fig. 8) Crown #30 was placed on the abutment supported by the implant and ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip was inserted into the distal interproximal space. With the abrasive surface facing crown #30, the strip was passed buccolingually 14 times until the strip passed with light resistance. (Interproximal Relief was achieved.)

ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip was inserted into the mesial interproximal space of Tooth #29 with the abrasive surface facing the crown. The ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip was passed approximately 18 times until it passed with light resistance. (Interproximal Relief was achieved)
