ContacEZ Founder Dr. Daniel S. Kim published in Dental Lab Products
ContacEZ founder and president, Dr. Daniel S. Kim, was published in the February edition of Dental Lab Products magazine in a Bench Mastery article. Writing with Co-Author Dr. John A. Rothchild, Dr. Kim lays out a consistent procedure for proximal contact restoration of crowns in dental labs that is easily coordinated to dental offices.

The ContacEZ Lab Strip System consists of three, single-handed and reusable ContacEZ dental strips with varying diamond grains on one side:
- The ContacEZ Lab Diamond Strip (Clear, 0.08 mm, medium-fine abrasive diamond, serrated) the dental lab adjuster
- The ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip (Black, 0.06 mm, fine abrasive diamond) the ideal proximal contact adjuster
- The ContacEZ Final Polishing Strip (Gray, 0.04 mm, ultra-fine diamond) the proximal surface polisher
About Dr. Daniel Kim, Author, Founder and Inventor
Dr. Daniel Kim is an innovative dentist with an eye toward better dentistry. He has continuously sought to improve dentistry throughout his career. His most recent invention is the ContacEZ IPR Strip System. He is also the inventor of the popular dental instrument Super Plugger. He holds a variety of U.S. patents for numerous items ranging from dental devices to household items. Dr. Kim has also contributed to numerous dental journals and periodicals.
Dr. Kim has been practicing dentistry in Vancouver, Washington for 30 years. He is a 1967 graduate of Seoul National University Dental School. He completed his internship and residency program in Prosthodontics at Kwangju Christian Hospital in Korea in 1970 and served the following three years in the military as a captain in a MASH Dental Unit. Dr. Kim had a private dental practice in Seoul while working for Seoul Adventist Hospital until he moved to the United States in 1975.
Dr. Kim taught Crown and Bridge Construction as a part-time faculty member at Yonsei University Dental School in Korea from 1973 to 1975. In Vancouver, Washington, he was a volunteer instructor for the Dental Hygienist Program at Clark College from 1978 to 1983. In addition, Dr. Kim has lectured 'An Alternative Method of Ridge Augmentation Associated with Complete Denture Construction' in the post-doctoral program as a visiting professor at Korea University Medical School Dental Department from 1992 to 1999. Dr. Kim was also a featured speaker at KADA Scientific Sessions and Seminars in Los Angeles and Portland from 2000 to 2005. He lives in Vancouver, Washington with his wife, Hooja Kim, a former college instructor at Clark College.
