Vancouver, Washington - More than 30 years ago, local Vancouver dentist Dr. Daniel Kim began searching for a better crown seating method.

He was determined to find a simple technique that would improve worldwide dental health care by enhancing patient comfort and functionality immediately after the final cementation of indirect restorations, crowns and inlay/onlays.

Dr. Kim spent more than thirty years researching and documenting his findings to establish his recently published theory. After many years of experience in his own dental practice, Dr. Kim documented his theory that it is critical that microscopic clearance or passive contact be restored to relieve pressure between contact surfaces of the new restoration and the adjacent teeth.

Dr. Kim’s theory, published in May, 2007 by the prestigious Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, is referred to as “Interproximal Relief.” Dr. Kim also invented ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip to help dentists worldwide achieve interproximal relief.

Striving for better dentistry throughout his professional career, it has now become Dr. Kim’s mission to promote the simple technique of restoring interproximal relief using ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip.
