ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip Makes Inlay/Onlay Seating Simple & Easy.
ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip is an innovative new precision dental device designed to use prior to final cementation to achieve proper proximal contact adjustment of indirect restorations. Use of ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip restores Interproximal Relief* by eliminating excessive pressure between the indirect restoration and the adjacent teeth, and complete marginal seating is achieved simply and easily!
Directions for proximal contact adjustment of inlays/onlays
1. In CEREC designing, the contact surfaces must be green and partly yellow.
2. If a sprue is attached on the proximal contact surface, remove it thoroughly including any elevations surrounding the sprue.
3. Place the milled inlay/onlay on the prepared tooth and check the vertical openings of the gingival margins and the horizontal openings of the axial margins with an explorer. Determine which proximal contact is overly tight.
4. Lift the inlay/onlay and insert a ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip into the interproximal space that has the heavier contact with the abrasive surface facing the inlay/onlay.
5. Press the inlay/onlay gently to partly seat it and pass the ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip buccolingually 5 to 6 times. The orientation of the diamond particles on the metal strip may initially limit movement of the strip to one direction only.

6. Repeat procedures 3 through 5 until the ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip passes through the interproximal space with light resistance. The inlay/onlay should seat fully. The side with the heavier resistance to the ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip is the heavier proximal contact side and may require more passes of the strip.

7. After cementation of the inlay/onlay, insert the ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip into the interproximal spaces and move buccolingually to confirm interproximal relief.
8. Interproximal relief is achieved when the ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip passes through the interproximal space with light resistance.
9. Evaluate the occlusion and adjust if necessary.
ContacEZ Diamond Dental Strip can also be used for the contouring of composite fillings.
