ContacEZ Lab Strip System Creates a Consistent Procedure for Proximal Contact Restoration of Crowns in Dental Labs Coordinated to Dental Offices
There is currently no definitive method for restoring appropriate proximal contacts of crowns in dental labs. There is also no true definition for appropriate pressure or tightness of physiological proximal contact between crown and adjacent teeth. Each lab therefore creates its own method and initial communication with dentists regarding appropriate contact can involve many remakes and rebakes. The ContacEZ Lab Strip System was designed to reduce the frustrations inherent in this process, creating a consistent procedure for proximal contact restoration of crowns that is easily coordinated to dental offices.

There are three single-handed and reusable strips with varying diamond grain on one side in the ContacEZ Lab Strip System.
- The Lab Diamond Strip (Clear, 0.08mm, medium-fine diamond, serrated) eliminates guess work in determining a specific proximal contact adjustment by uniformly removing 0.01mm from an adjacent tooth with each stroke.
- The Lab Bisque Strip (Black, 0.06mm, fine-diamond) creates an ideal proximal contact prior to glazing.
- The Lab Glaze Strip (Gray, 0.04mm, ultra-fine diamond) adjusts the proximal contact after glazing.
